Our signature event is the Annual SOHOSME Business Conference and Expo held in Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa and Calgary that together attract over 9000 small and medium businesses to a great day of learning, networking, and connecting to key business essentials through exhibits and displays. Our Story
In
1996, Moe Somani recognized the need to
service the growing SOHO
(small office home office) marketplace.
Specializing in the delivery of unique benefits,
he worked with corporate service providers
to create special savings programs on key
business essentials previously not available
to small business. The SOHO Membership
was born providing small business an affordable
way to access group benefits and corporate
rates to help them save time and money.
In
1997, with a growing demand by small business
to market and network, SOHO expanded its services
to including small business events and conferences
which allowed small businesses to connect
with business professionals, executives and
entrepreneurs and expand their network of
contacts. In 1997, along with various busines
networking receptions, the Annual
SOHO Small Business Conference
was born to provide valuable tools, resources
and networking opportunities during Small
Business Week.
In
2000, SOHO continued to expanded it services
to include the SME
(small and medium size enterprise)
marketplace, again recognizing the needs of
these businesses and their people, that were
not being addressed in the marketplace. The
annual conference changed it's name to the
Annual SOHO-SME Business
Conference & Expo. Going into
its 9th year, this special event during Small
Business Week is recognized as the premiere
event for small and medium size businesses,
By
2003, SOHO serviced over 20,000 small
and medium size businesses, provided an average
of 4,000 online leads per year to businesses
and attracted an average of over 5,000 business
professionals, executives and entrepreneurs
to its events. The company added Events
Management and Planning Services
to it services which provides unique business-to-business
planning, cordination and marketing of corporate
and business functions.
